Overview

Reunion Woodworking designs and creates sustainability-focused, one-of-a-kind furniture and decor using recycled urban wood.

The hallmark of Reunion’s unique, hand-made pieces is the “live edge” that they feature: a portion of the original piece of natural wood that is left as-is, telling the story of the tree that it came from and perhaps the previous role of the lumber itself.

Like many of the best business ideas, Reunion Woodworking started out as a side project. Materialized as an offshoot of a larger business model, this new venture consisted of one inspiring concept and a few sample products.

The idea, the orders, and the number of beautiful live-edge pieces being crafted in the warehouse were all beginning to grow. Reunion could build sustainable wood products, but now they needed a sustainable brand.

 

The Challenge

We started at the beginning with this budding business. What unique selling points does Reunion Woodworking offer? Who are their competitors? Who are their customers, and how can they be reached?

What we found was that Reunion needed a strong visual brand identity that could highlight their unique, bespoke products. Furthermore, without a retail presence and a catalog of products to choose from, it was important for this brand identity to be optimized for digital marketing efforts.

 

The Solution

Our first goal was to create a digital visual brand identity that would tell the story of Reunion Woodworking, display the quality and distinctiveness of the product line, and enable the target audience to envision the possibilities of custom-made creations to solve their own design challenges.

Our next objective was to translate this digital visual brand identity into an impactful, appealing digital environment, including a Reunion Woodworking website and digital assets for all marketing channels.

 

The Results

We began by developing all the elements of a powerful digital brand identity:

  • Logos
  • Typography
  • Color Palettes
  • Iconography
  • Photographic Style

These elements come together in Reunion Woodworking’s digital brand guide, which serves as a comprehensive reference as their digital presence grows.

Additionally, Reunion Woodworking now possesses a visually stunning website to show off their creations, their process, and their capabilities. This website is a hub for their sales and marketing efforts, as well as an anchor for their brand identity.

We had a great time developing a digital brand identity that was just like Reunion Woodworking’s products: beautiful and sustainable.
